NO SPRINGS, PERFECT BOUNCE

Most all-latex foam mattresses feel too bouncy. Not ours. Our organic latex dampens the responsive foam layers and reduces motion transfer . So does the GOTS-certified organic cotton that we sandwich between the latex layers. The result is an all-latex mattress with just the right level of response and bounce.

NEEDLE TUFTED BY HAND

Avocado mattresses feature our distinctive, needle-tufted rosettes made from soft, white organic wool - a hallmark of quality. We pull cotton ribbons through every layer of the mattress in up to 32 locations, held in place by the rosettes. Needle-tufting is a time-honored technique dating back to the 17th century. Because of hand tufting, no chemical adhesives are used to bind the layers together , which also radically improves durability.

HEAVY-DUTY HANDLES

Our all-latex mattress is heavy, between 93-185 pounds. That s why we stitch two vertical, upholstered handles on both side panels of the mattress. With a low-profile and snug fit, our handles won t bunch up underneath the sheets. These reinforced handles make rotating or adjusting your latex mattress hassle-free.

CLIMATE NEUTRAL CERTIFIED

We measure our annual emissions, reduce where we can, and offset the remaining balance by investing in climate change solutions. We also recognize our reductions and offsets aren't enough. Solving climate change will require systemic solutions. Our Latex Mattress is certified to MADE SAFE® standards - a rigorous scientific screening process for ingredients that may harm human health, animals, aquatic life, or ecosystems. The certification screens for more than 6,500 harmful substances - including flame retardants and fiberglass - everywhere within the mattress. Few brands meet this gold standard for product safety.

GOLS-Certified Organic Latex	We use FSC® certified (C156318) Dunlop latex in our Latex Mattress. We make our GOLS organic certified latex from farmer's societies and processing facilities in India and Guatemala, operating under the USDA's National Organic Program. It's made with 95% certified organic latex, the highest possible standard. Dunlop latex is naturally antimicrobial, cooler than memory foam, and requires no adhesives to seam it together. It is processed in a GOLS-certified organic facility in India and Guatemala. On our Avocado Latex Mattress, we use three seamless layers of organic latex - 2 inches of soft latex in the top comfort layer (D65 / 14-19 ILD, soft), 3 inches of firm latex (D75) in the middle, and 4 inches of firm latex (D75) at the base. We do not use synthetic latex. Our latex is eco-INSTITUT label certified, a standard for products fulfilling strict requirements on pollutants and emissions.
GOTS-Certified Organic Wool	The benefits of wool s complex and natural physio-chemical structure are endless: it wicks away moisture, keeps your mattress smelling fresh, and acts as another all-natural fire barrier. It s breathable - both warm and cool when you need it. Its natural crimp gives it bounce, body, and soft support characteristics. It s also non-allergenic (ideal for those who suffer allergies to feather and down or synthetic bedding products) and a renewable resource. No additives or synthetics are added to the wool. At Avocado, we add a layer of pure, naturally crimped GOTS-certified organic wool (1 ounce per square foot) under the organic certified cotton ticking in every mattress. We do not blend rayon, polyester, or flame retarding chemicals with our wool. Our organic wool has received the coveted Responsible Wool Standard for the welfare of sheep and the land they graze on. GOTS-Certified Organic Cotton	We use GOTS-certified organic cotton in a soft, natural color for a luxurious and premium finish. We craft the top panel with organic cotton, in a soft natural color for a luxurious and premium finish, over a generous layer of organic wool with thin non-woven backing as a natural fire barrier, per Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) accessory requirements (required to keep the organic materials from shifting during production, and to ensure the natural fibers do not clump or "work" through the cotton layers over time). No polyester fiber is used. Responsibly and ethically sourced from India, this durable textile is needle-tufted by hand with organic cotton yarn rosettes, which secure the cotton ticking and internal mattress layers firmly in place without chemical adhesives. Reinforced edge seams are double-stitched, and four heavy-duty upholstered handles complete the package.
No Flame Retardants	We do not use any flame retardants. Our Latex Mattress uses only GOTS-certified organic wool, which is naturally fire resistant. View our open flame test results.
25-Year Limited Warranty	Years 1 - 10: Full coverage, Non-Prorated. Years 11 - 25: Limited Coverage, Prorated. All foundations, bunkie boards, bed frames, and adjustable bases sold by Avocado have been specifically designed to meet the structural support requirements of this warranty if used correctly and unaltered. Sleep Trial Policy & Success Tips	Your 1-Year Avocado Latex Mattress trial begins after you receive your mattress, and is limited to one mattress per household, after a minimum of 30 days, according to policy terms & conditions. Shipping and in-home delivery & setup fees are non-refundable. Returned mattresses incur a $99 fee. The mattress box must be opened within 30 days of receipt. Legal Label	A law label is a legally required tag or label on new mattresses describing interior filling materials. Few companies will share this information before your purchase because it separates fact from marketing hype. We believe differently. Here's what the legal tag on the Avocado Latex Mattress says: Made in California with internal materials (based on weight) consisting of Natural Latex (91%), Natural Wool Fiber (9%), plus a 100% Organic Cotton Cover.
